Life Design Planning for Happiness and Well-being
Second and Fourth Monday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
On Going Seminars. Weekly groups and weekend retreats are offered to teach students to process their life events and life patterns of thinking/feeling/behaving to understand their life purpose and make choices to experience more gratitude, savoring and happiness. The groups teach students how to establish new behaviors to develop happiness and well-being through pleasure, engagement, meaning, accomplishment, and interpersonal relationships. Positive Psychology interventions and Life Design Plans are used. Students report these groups are fun, inspirational and life changing.

A Healing Workshop

Workshop. These workshops give clients the opportunity to experience healing from grief, trauma, anxiety or depression. Any subject area or cause can be addressed, along with the client’s negative thoughts and feelings or unsuccessful behavior patterns. Clients will be able to gain understanding of their story, patterns and interventions that they may use to effect behavior change. You will discover methods of effectively letting go of the past, embracing the moment, and savoring the future.

Today’s coaches want to know the latest research in positive psychology to help leaders create more success. Conventional wisdom says that if we work hard we will be more successful and that will make us happy. However, it is just the opposite. Happiness fuels or drives success. This presentation will explore principles and applications of strategic planning through the use of Vision Boards to assist leaders in becoming more positive and developing a competitive edge in their work.
Vision Boards are collages also known as Dream Boards, Treasure Maps and Goal Sheets. They are tools that display pictures and affirmations of the goals and things you want or desire in life. They help you focus your energy on your specific goals and attract that same energy back to you. They require you to use your senses thinking about your goals, seeing the pictures which engage your subconscious mind to “go after” them, and remind you of actions to take to accomplish the goals.
Whether you want a new career, a healthy investment account, a vacation in Italy, a new Mercedes SL 550, a trim and fit body weighing 130 pounds, a better relationship, or peace of mind, your vision board can help initiate the results.

Happiness definition: Aristotle eudaimonia translates directly to “human flourishing” not “happiness”. Not yellow smiley faces and rainbows and unicorns. The joy of fulfilling our potential. (Vanderpool 2010)
Positivity (positive thinking and emotions) is the chief engine of happiness.
The 10 most common positive emotions (Barbara Fredrickson) that fuel happiness are:
